ALPA PASTA QUESTIONS

  • Ingredients: Almond Flour (27%), Eggs, Tapioca Flour, Chestnut Flour, Konjac Gum, Xanthan Gum, Pink Himalayan Salt.

  • Alpa Pasta is an excellent choice for those seeking a low glycemic index food, boasting a score of just 1. Almond flour, renowned for its minimal glycemic load, is an outstanding alternative for managing diabetes. To qualify as Low GI, a food must score below 55, and almond flour’s naturally low carb, high protein, fibre, and heart-healthy fat composition make it an ideal candidate. These qualities help maintain stable insulin levels, which many of our customers have observed firsthand. However, we always recommend consulting with your doctor or dietitian if you have any specific dietary concerns or questions.

  • We use Xanthan gum (a kind of fermented sugar) which is created through the fermentation of glucose, similar to the process used to make yoghurt. Our xanthan gum goes through the fermentation process using only plant-based glucose.

We use Xanthan gum to help bind our ingredients together and create the traditional pasta texture.

  • Konjac is a high-fibre root vegetable that helps keep you full up for longer. Some people find it helpful in weight loss diets as it helps to lower blood sugar levels.

  • The majority ingredient in our pasta is Almonds. The sugar in Alpa is naturally occurring in the Almonds- there is no added sugar. In a 100g serving, there are 3.6g of natural sugars.
